my head is in the clouds

surprise. surprise.
I don't want to hear any comments from the peanut gallery (aka Troy) on this one.

But really. I am deep into the clouds. kids? who are they? Husband? what's that? Friends? where?

I'm sorry. I know it's wrong, but I am addicted. I am addicted to all things photography right now. I am knee deep into photoshop. Knee deep into Flickr. Knee deep into Lightroom.

Knee deep into trouble, I tell ya, and spinning out of control! I just want to learn more and more and more. But there has to be a happy medium. I limit my hobby time to naps and nighttime, but that means household chores are being neglected and my husband, especially. (i love you, honey)

I just want to take this time to say sorry for those i've offended and to publicly thank my husband for letting me eat, sleep, and dream about this right now. and the church is true. amen.

I am posting some pics from our fun family weekend together...the last moment I can remember that I wasn't thinking about pictures. (just kidding. maybe. maybe not.)

Riley Farms - Raspberry Picking

(and sorry lucy...you're always getting cut out of the pictures)

Ali thats funny. I admire you because I dont know how to take pictures my husband is always taking the camera from me. Where is Riley's Farms? Is it similar to Tom's Farms? We would love to go check it out. We miss you guys, we need to have a end of the summer barbeque and swim party, take care.

I found it, it is in Oak Glen near Christy's. We have been their many times. I thought it was something we have not done.

That looks like so much fun!!! We don't really have anything like that here. We do have apple orchards in which I'd love to go and get some fun pictures there, oh and pumpkin farms. I love fall photos. Oh ya, we don't want to forget memorial stadium! That is where MY husband wouldn't get frustrated with me taking pictures. ;)

I love that you're way into taking pictures!! You are so so so good at it too. Lately I've been addicted to sewing! Wierd, I know, but I'm loving it. I sewed a bunch of throw pillow covers and now I'm converted. I love to sew lately!! Your pics look great. Looks like you guys had a fun weekend!

If it's any consolation, your photos are gorgeous and I feel envious. Tell Troy this too shall pass.

That's great that you're getting so into it. Looks like I need to have Jack over so that you can have some alone time with your laptop!

Oh I Love Riley farms. We used to live about 30 minutes from there. So fabulous!
Good for you to get so excited about photography. It is such a wonderful, artistic hobbie and every mom deserves a nice oulet like that.

You're too funny. I don't have photoshop (yet), but if I did my head would be in the clouds with yours. Fun pictures!

Hey Ali,
I'm back at school (again...I know)and I am learning CS3 Illustrator. I have finaly actually learned how to use my Photoshop at home. I SO know what you mean! I plunged into my Blog tonight just to remember there is something I can do that I am good at and that is easy for me! (unlike Illustrator) Maybe we can swap tips at Thanksgiving ;) Miss you all, give my kido’s loves from Auntie!

umm....i want my heads to be submerged in the photoshop clouds if it means my pictures would look like yours!!
I'm just proud of myself for a) remembering to bring my camera places and b)pointing and clicking.

But you just keep right on learning....because I am having a baby in 3 months and I am already planning on our little photo shoot!!

You are so funny.

I need to learn photoshop still so I can scrapbook with the beautiful papers from Scrapgirls. I bought the thing a year ago and haven't done anything with it except remove red eye and skin imperfections. The time it will take sitting at the computer (in addition to the time I already spend) and learn it overwhelms me.
