because I have a habit to support...

I am telling you all right now...this is soooo OUT OF MY BOX!

So much so, that it gives me the nervous you-know-whats (or maybe you don't know...in which case, you are better off!)
At any rate, I have come to a point in my  humble exploration of photography that I need and want equipment.  good equipment.  expensive equipment.  the-kind-I-can't-afford equipment.

So, that's where this comes in.
Enter fancy flyer with fancy "business" name.

breathe, ali.  breathe.  Ok.  So here it is.  Something that looks semi-official.  I have decided to try and round up some local Christmas business and charge, what I believe is a pretty darn good price.

But here's the better part.  For all my friends, or blog readers, or blog reading friends, I am discounting this price from 99 bones to only 75 buckeroos.  With that you will get a CD of 10-20 images!

Please don't feel obligated.  When I see you next, don't run the other way.  I am simply throwing it out there because on occasion people ask if I can take their pictures.  And while I love giving freebies, I just can't afford the time it takes and well, I like getting paid too.

So there you have it.  I said it.  It's out in the open.
Now please excuse me while I go un-knot my stomach.

**and PS - if you live in the OC, San Diego, or elsewhere, arrangements can be made, but it will probably cost a bit more seeing as how 75 dollars might only cover gas expenses.

CONGRATS, my niece!
Sorry, I dropped out of sight after we talked . . . got a horrible case of the flu that lasted the past {5} days! Holy cow . . . feeling better today! Way to "get brave" I really impressed. I think that's the way to get your equipment. ALSO, Cortney gets a lot of his off ebay at a much lower price - but you really need to know your stuff! I'll try and write you - THANKS for your email - I got it and all the info you sent - really helps. I was really dying those {5} days sick - I wanted to get out and shoot soooooo bad. Write and let me know what you thought about some of those sites I told you about. Luv you.

PS.
The wedding of your "cousins" (by the pool and the display of many pictures together) WHAT lens did you use for that? Did you use PhotoShop to enhance the color. Beautiful colors!

Yeah for you, Ali. That is awesome! I told you that you would be a professional before long. I am a little intimidated now, I better get my game on!

kudos to you on starting up your "little" business and making a cute "little" flyer. :)

I think if you have spent so much of your own time and energy into learning how to do something well, investing into good equipment, and taking the time to "practice for free" on other people, than you should feel great about making your hobby into a business!!

You can plan on a customer in the OC sometime around mid-December! I guess this means I can't pay in a plate of my peanut butter cookies and all the free recipes you want anymore. :)

I was so glad to get your message on my blog. It is so fun to stay connected with people. Your family is darling and I am jealous about your photography bus. I have been telling Lloyd that I would love to do that but don't know how to even get started. Have any tips? Thanks for contacting me. I would love to stay in touch.

Look at you with your cute professional self! So, I would love to sign on up. I think we'd fall into that "OC is extra" slot, but we're willing to pay the price. My mom was just asking me today if I would get someone to take our Christmas picture. Do I need to call you (I'll warn you, I get nervous on the phone... but I'll do it if I have to).
Just one question: Can you bring Berta? Just from her comment picture, she looks fabulous!

Hey Ali...you are worth every penny. Don't feel bad about making a very successful business for yourself. Good for you. If you can stay at home and make money...go for it.
