1. Had my first doctor's visit today. I am 13.5 weeks along - one week further than I thought, which is always a welcome surprise. We got to see the babe and hear the heartbeat. Troy was really hoping that if our future baby was well-endowed with large genitalia that the doc would be able to tell us, "It's another boy!" But...no such luck. Too soon to tell. I did get some drugs to ease the barfing that has been a daily event. However, they are 15 bucks a pill. Ouch!
2. I have never had Troy with me for my pelvic/breast exams. It was strangely awkward having a doctor grope your breasts with your husband sitting next to you. I almost felt like I had to look over at Troy to get "clearance" for such violation. Troy wonders: Do doctors really ever NOT enjoy breast exams?
3. I just want to write this one down for the record. When Jack takes a drink lately, he gulps, then finishes off with a hearty, refreshed "Ahhhh".
4. Lots of home improvement going on over here. Crown moulding has proven to be a pain the butt, but as always, Troy has figured it out. After about 26 quarts of sample paint, we finally chose a color for the family room. Now for the rest of the house. We are repainting with an eggshell finish...much more kid-friendly!

Hey Degraff family, this is clint and becky wilson (from cabo). I came accross your blog through abi's. anyway, congrats on the pregnancy, and your little boy is so dang cute. Did your Dr. put you on Zofran, that was what I was on too. That stuff is great, I remember it being really expenseive. Good luck with the pregnancy
I love your random thoughts. Oh, I was telling Brandon about the doctor and the breast exam thing, and he said when he was a med tech, you just do what you have to do and you just have to be professional. He gave the example that once he had to give some hot girl (he emphasized that, isn't that nice?) a shot in the butt. Because of the way you have to give the shot, he pretty much had to grab her bare butt in order to do so. Lovely. But he remained professional! ;)
hey becky...do you have a blog, yet?
I'm so excited for your Dr. appointment!! (the being a whole week further along part, not the breast exam.)
I think my favorite part about all the fun examinations is how they totally try and talk to you about everyday life, like nothing else is going on. "so how's Jonah?" (sqeeeze) "nice weather we're having", (poke poke). Do they really care?
I know what you mean about the EXAM I hated mine mostly because the doctor came in and I wasn't quite finished getting undressed so it kind of felt like I was part of so twisted strip show. Totally awkward and completely embarrassing. I'm so glad you got some pills I think 15 bucks to buy a day without sickness is absolutely worth it!
