alert the media...

no force was used.
no bribery involved.
not even a single tear shed.

he just did it!

our little man, of 18 months old, slept in his big boy bed for the first time last night.

after tossing and turning worried that he'd wake up and be frightened by his new surroundings, i awoke to this after a full night's sleep...HIM...peacefully reading and playing on his new bed. could it last?

i have yet to try this new big boy venture during naptimes. baby steps for now. any advice on this HUGE milestone?

so cute, he looks like that has ALWAYS been his bed. Love it and hate it when they grow up and have milestones!!

He looks so much like troy now. Yah for Jack!! That truely is amazing, Mak cried every night for the first week and by morning we found her in the hallway. Way to go Jack!! (and mom)

I just want to know how you got him to make his bed. Seriously, forget baby steps, I think you just made a giant leap for motherhood, if not all mankind!

p.s. When Henry "transitioned," I had to lay down next to him for his naps. Slowly, my laying down time got shorter and shorter until finally all I did was read him a book and off he went to slumber Never-Neverland.

That's awesome. Those pics are too cute.

My friend - She's pregnant - she sat her the 2 year old down and talked to him seriously about going to the potty - and from that day forward he did! I mean, he had accidents, but I guess things happen when you need them to. SHe told him she couldn't afford diapers for 3 babies and he needed to be a big boy! I love that story and the way she tells it.
