IDAHO? No...you da' ho.

Idaho was the destination of choice this Thanksgiving. Off to the land of frosty cold weather to see Grandma LaWanna, Grandpa Bruce and all the long-distance aunts, uncles and cousins!

If you know me well, you know that I am a cold weather WIMP (and a hot weather wimp. oh...just a WIMP all together)! But nonetheless, we gathered up the gear preparing for the worst.

Here is Jack testing out his winter wear. Look familiar? Like Ralphie's little brother in the "Christmas Story"? Jack did take a brutal face plant when he tried to take his first step in the marshmallow suit.

We enjoyed a delicious feast of all the traditional eats. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, homemade rolls, punch, and 6....yes 6 pies made by aunt brooke. Mmmm. True to form, I stuffed my face and was incapacitated the rest of the evening. Isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?

The next day, we took part in an Idaho tradition of going to the woods and chopping down a Christmas tree. Just 10 bucks, some frost bitten fingers, and a little creativity can get you a mighty fine tree!

Brooke and Kylee

Kids piled in the back of the truck in search of the perfect tree. Don't worry...i was hiding out in the cab staying warm.

We had a great time. Thanks LaWanna for making us so comfortable in your home! It wouldn't have been Thanksgiving without family to share it with!

Yes a cold weather wimp is true!! If you came through Utah and didn't call then don't tell me!! Troy never looked so happy as he did holding that plate full of food. A true guy. I'm glad you had a great holiday. Christmas at the beach??? Stay warm. Love ya, LINDI

That is so awesome, I love all the pictures. Looks like you had a wonderful time. I know what you mean about Ralphie. I feel like all my kids look like that in their snow suites. But he is adorable. And I am sure he stayed warm.

I do love my lenses. Reagan even bought me the one you were telling me about. And a flash for my camera. I am having fun taking pictures. The only way I will learn is to just keep on taking them. Then I will learn more and more. You are awesome by the way. Quit the pro I might add.

We would love to see you guys sometime. What are you plans for the holidays?

Looks like you had a wonderful trip! I am so glad. I am a cold wimp too, but I do love the snow. Jack looks darling all bundled up. Talking about what you ate, makes me want to have Thanksgiving again this week. Maybe I should tackle a turkey on my own . . . food for thought at least.

I love the picture of Troy with the food. He could be the face on a billboard for Sizzler--

I love Jack's snowsuit. He looks so grown up in it.

I love Jack in his snow suit! That movie is our Christmas tradition. We love watching it.

I don't think I've ever seen Troy look so scruffy. Brandon was looking equally rough over Thanksgiving.

I LOOOVE the snowsuit!! I bet he was roasting in that thing! I really think they should make them in adult sizes....I HATE being cold.

jack is so cute in that suit!
I wish we could find a farm to cut down a tree around here...I'll keep checking it out. I love that tradition (minus the FREEZING cold weather).
