Most of you know that Jack has a love affair with food. He adores it! He gets excited for meal times and rarely turns his nose up at something. He can also eat amazing portions. I wonder where he gets it?
Well, the other day he had me concerned when he did this....
Yes folks, he's licking the plate.
Wouldn't want to miss a crumb!
This has happened once before at Olive Garden. He was licking the alfredo off the plate. But really, who can blame him?

Wow Ali, who did he see lick their plate, his mommy or his daddy or both. :-)
that boy knows something good when he's eating it!!! don't spare a drop!
This is hilarious! What a fun little boy!
Oh this is Jonah too. And it makes me gag everytime he licks up his left over pool of ketchup/catsup. sick. Hey at least we'll never have to give the "you know there are starving kids in china....." speech.
That is hilarious! You'll have to let me know your secrets to get him to eat like that. I usually have to shove food into Sydney's mouth to get her to eat!
That is the funniest thing! Jack cracks me up! Hey, I'll take a kid with an appetite any day!
You're brave to give him the plate. I haven't actually tried that yet, I'm afraid he might break it. I guess we need to invest in some plastic plates for kids!
Was he at BJ's with us when you were licking your plate? The kid loves food, he'll be a great husband.
Oh Ali, I am laughing out loud! Little JAck--how hysterical is that kid! Maybe he did glance over eventually but those pics are hilarious becuase it's like he didn't even notice you snapping a photo, he's just licking away! I'm not joking, that is a crack up. And your description makes me laugh that much harder.....too funny and too cute!
This is one of those times a picture is worth a 1,000 words. That is so hilarious. By the way, is that a glass plate?
You go Jack! What a good little eater!
Does he pull things out of the pantry yet like Asa?
First of all- I love the Olive Garden. Thanks for reminding me about it. I may have to go there for lunch today! Second- I am so jealous at what a GREAT eater Jack is! Especially right now when Berkley won't eat anything. My girls seem to be so picky and it makes things stressful! Always wasting food and always trying to think of something for them that they may eat so they don't go starving! I wish I had a Jack on my hands! He is so darling licking that plate! What a fun picture to show him later in life.....
I think Jack needs to teach Ruby a thing or two about eating. The girl won't eat anything! Maybe we should fly down to So Cal just so Jack could hold a baby workshop called Eating: It really does taste good, I promise.
